Our aged double ground Natural Mulch is made of a 50/50 blend of virgin bark and hardwood (no recycled materials). It does not have any color additives and it’s a great fit in applications where frequent contact is anticipated such as playgrounds, walking paths or properties with children or pets. Natural mulches, while not as consistent and stable in color as dyed mulches, are a natural solution to moisture retention, weed control and erosion prevention. Double-shredded and aged to a dark brown color, this product has the best of both worlds in terms of nutrient benefit (bark decomposition into existing soil) and longevity (wood pieces will not break down as fast).

Yardage Calculation Chart
To use this chart, determine the square footage of the area and look for the number to the left side of the chart. Then determine the depth of the topsoil or mulch you feel is needed and find that number along the top of the chart. Where the two boxes intersect will be the approximate cubic yards of topsoil or mulch needed. Remember, when using the chart for topsoil or stone calculations; add 20% to the yardage recommended on the chart to account for compaction.
